In Jan,2007 I gave birth to my second child Sammi. Befor giving birth my doctor and I had disscused doing the Essure producre at my 6 week check up. For some reason or another I had to reschedule the appointment twice. When I finally made it in to have it done I was told it could not be done because I was again pregnant. Shortly after we did a military move to a small town in New York, There we lost our Sammi to what is called a dry drowning, I was told she had acid reflex and it looked at if she was trying to spit up and she couldn’t. She drowned on her own spit up. In Dec 2007 I gave birth to my 3rd little girl discussed with the army doctor about getting the Essure put in. In March of 2008 the doctor did the procedure, He didn’t do it in his office. It was done in outpatient surgery, When I went back for the check up there was no dye and xray test done to see if the coils stayed in place or if the fallopian tubes had closed around the coils. He only asked me a few questions and that was it.
In 2009 I stated having pain in the adominal area that traveled up to my chest and down my left arm. I rushed into the ER, there they hooked me up to a heart monitor, took some blood test and preformed several heart test. I was told my heart was very healthy and that they suspected I was having a panic attack. I was sent home. Over the past 6 years I have been to several doctors and been in the ER many times for this pain. Each time I have been told that its a panic attack, an anxiety attack and one doctor told me it was grief pain and that I needed help. In 2013 we moved to new city and in September I again was having horrible pain I went into the ER. They admitted me due to having a very low blood count, Durning my week stay I again had all the heart test and blood test done again no problem there. This time I had a colonoscopy done, they found nothing there and sent me home. I have been back to the ER several times. This last visit I was admitted over night and they did a stress test and again found nothing. At this point I was frustrated and yelled at the doctor telling him that it’s not my heart, The pain is comming from my pelvic area. They scheduled me to see a OBGYN.
At the obgyn visit today before any exam was done the doctor told me he did not think it was the Essure causing the pain. He went on to tell me that he has preformed the Essure procudere many times in his office and has never had any complaints from it. He claims that the problem is in my colon, I told this doctor I had the colonoscopy done nothing was found. I told him about the pain and that it gets so bad at times I vomit, I can’t walk up my own stairs and tuck my kids into bed. He then had me get an ultrasound done, after that he told me he couldnt find anything on the ultra sound. He understands that I am in pain, he feels that I am having pelvic muscle spasams, he then gave me a referral to see a physical therapist for it. He said if the physical therapy didn’t help he would schedule an outpatient LAPAROSCOPY to see what and if it is truly the Essure or some other problem causing me pain.
I taught for once I was going to see a doctor who would listen to me and truly understand the kind of pain I am in. I want the coils removed I want the pain to go away. I want to stop feeling like I am letting my children down because I am unable to what they want at times.
