I am a 29y/o mother of three of the most beautiful girls you will ever meet. I gave birth to my youngest 17 months ago on May 9 2012. Due to sever complications such as my body rejecting the forming of the placenta to a placenta previa my doctor and i felt it best i not have anymore. Ok let me clarify an in between situatuation. Between march 23 2005 when my middle daughter was born without complication and the youngest i had 3 miscarriages. So in June of 2012 i went in to have my essure procedure in which i was told by guarantee it was non painful and 99% effective. Well i am here to tell you it was the worst pain ive ever felt and the entire page of medication i had to take did nothing to help. I was breast feeding and the medication dried me up the next day. So you think that is bad? I got more! I bled for 4 months straight after the procedure and when i called my doctor he said it was normal and will eventually stop when it was ready. It was horribly painful and i ended up in the er several times cause i could not even walk. Now 17 months and 9 days later i found out i am pregnant again. Yes essure is still in place and im scared. The er dr told me to be seen asap in thr morning by an ob/gyn to do an untrasound and make sure preg is not ectopic. Easier said than done since i do not have insurance. We are going to do our best to be seen by monday at the latest to save our baby’s life. This baby is a blessing for my husband and i as we were told he was sterile and well i was supposed to be fixed. This is my story and for anyone oyt there willing to listen, essure is terrible, painful, and does not work. It was the worst choice i have ever made and i can only hope my story reaches someone and changes their mind about the essure procedure.
