I had my second child in May 2011 and by December 2011 I had essure implanted. I had issues with my pregnancy and postpardom so this was part of the reason for choosing essure as this was done in the office and i did not have to go under anistesia. My doctor waited 10 years before he even considered essure as a procedure he would do. Not too long after the procedure was done i started having spasms on my left side that would radiate through my uterus to my back. Over the years this pain/spams has gotten worse. No matter how i move, sit, lay down, it will not go away. I did take pain meds but now they are not helping. I have a family to take care of and i also work so pain meds are not an option.
I went to the dr. and he wanted me to have a colonoscopy done due to the back pain. I did and everything was fine. I did see my doctor again due to this issue and he put me on the pill as he was thinking it was ovulation so i got on the pill (which i was not happy about as i never took the pill hence the reaseon i had essure). This did not help so i went back in the office and finally he decided that i needed a hysterectomy. I will have surgery on Tuesday, Jan 28, 2014, he will be taking my left ovary out along with the coil on my right side. My Dr. is not happy as i am not the only paitent in his office that are having these issues with essure. He was the one that mentioned Erin.
I am only 40 and now my concerns are having to take hormones as i will only have one ovary. I did read other essure related problems but none seem to be like mine so maybe someone else is having issues like the mine.
sorry for the typo’s
