In November of 2005 I got the Essure procedure done. At the follow up from the surgery when they did a ultrasound to check it they said it looked great. Just 2 months after the 6 week follow up I started bleeding and having excruciating pain.
I suffer from Polly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome and though maybe it was just another cyst but when I went into get checked they said there was no cyst. They did ask me if I had an IVF put in. When I told them no the doctor had no clue what an Essure Tubal was and I was always unable to get into see the doctor that did the surgery in the first place.
It took me a year and going out of town about an hour and a half away to get a doctor to listen to me. Every doctor I talked to before that either didn’t have a clue what it was or didn’t believe me. They would tell me I was lying and make me feel like a child.
After the partial Hysterectomy surgery that doctor told my husband if I had not have gotten the partial when i did I Could have bled to death. The doctor told him that the Essure implant could fall out.
No where on any paperwork that I signed or read did it say that they could fall out and and cause me to miss almost a year of my childs life because I was always hurting, sick, or at the doctors office trying to get better.
