On Dec. 31st 2009 I had my essures placed.
It was an extremely painful procedure and the doctor had a difficult time placing one.
Following this procedure I had an ablation preformed as well. I had severe cramping and gushing fluid for 2 weeks. I kept feeling like I was being poked by something as well. I had to miss my 3 month appointment for the HSG so I went in at 6 months. The doctor tried 3 times and was painfully unsuccessful at completing the HSG. I was told to just use alternative birth control.
After about a year I still had complaints about a poking feeling and I developed hives. Cannot confirm if the hives are related to the essures or not. I have zero sex drive. I went in for an ultra sound after complaining about the poking and was told one of my coils is not in my tube they could not find it. I have continued to have the poking feeling. Fast forward to December 2012.
My Doctor wants me to have my fallopian tubes removed. I cannot afford this surgery. I called essure office to complain and got the run around. So in December I had my first period since having essures placed and it was the most painful period I had ever had. I was cramping horribly. I did not have a period again until March when I had an even more painful period that kept me in bed on pain pills for 2 days. It felt nearly as bad as contractions. Every since then I have felt pain in my lower abdomen.
I have an appointment with my doctor in May. I am not sure what to do. I want to have the surgery to have them removed but I cannot afford it but I am terrified to have another painful period. On top of the no sex drive and hives (which I am being treated for through medication). I have fatigue and have gained about 10 pounds. I also borderline on depressed due to the hives and discomfort.
I did have a Nickle allergy test done which came out negative. So my hives have been classified as unknown chronic hives.
