After many years of using different types of birth control, I was ready for something permanant. I spoke with my Gyno and he recommanded the essure, I explained that I was more interested in the old fashion techique of getting my tubes tied. He immedaitely dismissed this option and stated that the essure would be the best option for me. Newer technology, no need to be out of work for 6 weeks, and its a out patient procedure. On july 14, 2015, I had the procedure to have the Essure implanted. I felt fine once I got home. Did not have any side effects at all in the beginning so I thought. I am diabetic, so I thought that a lot of the symptoms I was experiencing were due to that. But once I started reading all of the side effects other women had after having the essure, I soon started to realize that these symptoms were due to the Essure. I started to experience more and more migraines, heavier periods, 1st 3 days, heavy bleeding and blood clots. Bloating feeling, aches and pains all over. In January of 2016, I started to experience numbness in my right thigh, lower stomach and right side of my vaginal area. Unexplained itching all over my body. Horrible discharge, vaginal itching and dryness. Slurred speech, along with memory loss. Loss of balance, feeling like I am going to fall all the time. My teeth are more sensitive than ever. Nasty metal taste in my mouth and nasuea all the time. I also have trouble falling and staying asleep.
