My name is Brooke I am 37 yrs old. I had the Essure procdure done in 2007.. I experienced pain like alot of women but I made this decision based on the recovery I had 3 kids to take care for and I know that I was done having children. After I had this procedure I experienced heavier periods than normal and a week before my cycle started I experienced severe vaginal pain. I talked to my doctor about the feelings and problems I was experiencing. He blamed it on my having a prolapsed uterus. Well now at 37 and almost 6 yrs later I am getting ready to have uterus and fallopian tubes removed. The essure is coming out of fallopian tubes and causing severe pain. It has puncutered my bladder and rectum wall. April 8th I am going in to have procedure done, they are going to leave my ovaries and while they do this procedure they will also repair the damage that was caused from the essure.. They will stich and put everything back to where it needs to be. Here as a woman I thought I was making the best decision for myself and after I talked to the doctor he assured me this was the best procedure for me. I regret taking his advice now.. It has done nothing but caused me years of pain and now surgery. For all the women out there I understand what you are going thru… I hope they take this off the market as soon as possible but another woman experiences the pain and discomfort we have.
