I decided to get my tubes tied when i was pregnant with my third child, when i discussed this with my doctor, he suggested the ‘new’ way of getting my tubes done with less pain and a short prcedure & recovery. it sounded very intriging but also too good to be true (as im finding out now) i decided to go ahead with the procedure in feb of 2012, 6 weeks after my last child was born. i went in for the surgery and was put under, i woke up in no pain and very little cramping. When i went in for my follow up visit at the OB GYN a week or so later, he THEN informed me that he only got one coil in during my first surgery and id have to once again go through the surgery again to complete the procedure. Well after all was said and done, i was happy knowing that i wouldnt have to worry about getting pregnant again, i thought my prayers had been answered. Until i happened to see The Doctors (amazing show!), thats when things started clicking in my head and i started to just research it a little more. I have been in so much pain over at least the last year and never put two & two together that it could be from eesure. I sleep with a heating pad most of the time due to severe back pains, lower & upper. There are many days where i am limping around with the worst knee pains ever.. most of my sore joints seem to be on my left side. I decided late last spring to go to the ER because i was in so much pain, i really thought i was a 24 year old with arthritis.. the ER did xrays on my left knee, left elbow, left wrist & back. The results came back and they said there was nothing wrong that they could see, no signs of any arthritis or anything that could be causing the pain, and they sent me on my way acting like i was just faking these symptoms. I was very confused but decided that maybe im just crazy. i complain to my mom & she says that i dont eat healthy enough, mind you, i eat very healthy compared to most people because of my mom being such a health fanatic. I also get pelvic pains & figured that it was more then likely the eesure but probably normal. i have blurred vision & have to wear reading glasses, and even then sometimes, it gets blurred for me. i have a horrible memory lately and had no explanation as to why. I would love to return to school but im afraid that i will fail because of how bad my memory is now at retaining information. The more horror stories i read about others that have had this eesure done, the more lightbulbs start to turn on in my head. i am so thankful that this is all getting out in the open because even though i still have the pains, at least now there is some sort of explanation. This needs to be taken off the market, us women should b able to have the choice on whether we’d like it removed or not, at NO cost to us and some kind of compensation for all the pain we’ve been put through.. oh and i forgot to mention, im exremely tired half the time, even after a full night rest, i find myself taking long naps almost every day and barely ever have any energy to do anything. I am FAR from a lazy person and far from overweight, but i would love to be able to work out again, with energy and without being in pain for 3 days after a workout. thank you for listening and i hope that my story will help save someone from going through with this procedure & pain.
