I had the essure procedure back in 2004, yes it was only around for about 5 years they told me in france, at the time I was on the medical assistance card and was being seen at a local womans clinic. The day of the procedure I wanted not to have it done and asked if they could just do it the old fashioned way tieing your tubes and some resident came in the room and talked me into havng it done. They were doing the procedure on a bunch of us women that day. I know they were pushing it because I’m sure they received state grants and fundings for that . I only had mild cramping but over the next few years I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and depression and my stomach looks like I’m 7 months pregnant, I have seen gastroenterologist for my stomach and they tell me its nothing and I have gained alot of weight and am tired all the time and I am allergic to nickel titanium I cant wear earing made of nickel titanium it makes my ears swell up If I had knwn that they were putting nickel titaniam in me I would of not had this done and to top it off after my procedure they gave me a card that states that I have nickel titanium in my body and I have to carry this card wth me for life. the doctor never told me that before the procedure when I go to my gyne visit I’m going to talk to my doctor about this and ‘m sure she will probably tell me the same that ithers heard from their doctors
