In 2009 I was going through a divorce and having three children I didn’t need more. I use to be on the depo shot. I knew the longer you were on this the worse your bones would get. I heard about the Essure Procedure and thought it was a great form of birth control. During the procedure the doctor poked a hole in my uterus and my bladder causing internal bleeding. So something that was suppose to take 20 to 30 minutes, ended up lasting an hour. The stay after also was only meant to be for 25 minutes, I was there all day making sure the bleeding had stopped.
he worse part was I wasn’t even allowed to stay in the recovery room, they had me a a chair in the waiting room still hooked up to my iv and all drugged. Since this I get uti’s and bacteria infections a lot. I have pain in my lower right side. The back pain I get on my period is so intense if I bend over I have a hard time standing up right again. I have been to the doctors and they say nothing is wrong. I have been to the ER and they just try to give me pain medication which I refuse to take. I have researched the removal of the coils and found a Doctor in North Carolina. The procedure costs up to $7,000.00. I live up north and can not afford this. My insurance doesnt cover the removal. I feel like I am going to be stuck with these symptoms for the rest of my life. Wishing I would of just stayed on the depo and taken my chances.
