Hi Ladies,
My name is Cranstana from Detroit, Michigan I opted to have the permanent birth control essure in 2007. I’ve seen numerous doctors trying to discover why my back is hurting so bad, that I need to use a cane to walk at times. I’m in Therapy with little benefit to the actual problem being resolved. I had always had a strong flow when on my cycle, however I began bleeding so bad during my cycle that I was using two pads, at the same time at least three times within the hour. On October of 2011 I had a procedure that would reduce the bleeding (D and C procedure). This procedure helped stop the bleeding , however I would occasionally have sharp pains shot up from my uterus into my buttocks (as if I was shocked). I did not know anything about a problem occuring with other women that have this device and felt some relief when I seen what is happening, with other women that had something in common (Essure Birth Control) with me. I am scheduled to have a full hysterecomy on November 14, 2013; I am praying for some pain relief. I only opted into this birth control because I was high risk for a nine month preganacy that would cause an increase in my weight. I have seen neurologist that can’t explain my pain, I’ve taken ct after ct and nothing. I take norco pain releivers and Naproxen (muscle relaxers) to help relieve the pain with little relief. Some days it appear as if my core doesn’t want to move, I stay bloated, I have embarassing outbreaks of gas and now I want to know if this device is the root of my physical issues. If ensure is causing all of these problems it should be removed from the market, to keep us safe and I support removing it from the options of birth control. I did ask my doctor if it would be removed and he did say that the coil would be removed during my hysterectomy.
