I had my Essure placed several months ago. We did it because my co-pay for the essure was only 20$ while the co-pay for my husbands vascectomy 250$ even though they were both done in the office. During the procedure the coil broke off in my fallpoian tube, it was removed and another was placed. I thought that was the end of it. I started having pain where the coil broke off and figured I has having a hard time healing. During the final testing we saw that the coil had perforated my fallopian tube and had wound up on itself. I was having pain because coil was haning out probably scrapng everything it came in contact with. My doctor and I agreed on surgery to have it removed, to have the whole fallopian tube removed in fact. On Halloween night we had come home from trick or treating and as i got out of the car I experienced such horrid pain I had doubled over and almost threw up. for the next 2 weeks I I would have pretty bad pain and I called my doctor to see if we can schedule the surgery sooner but my dr thought it was ovulating pain. the pain subsided and I went in for surgery. The fallopian tube was removed and they were forced to do an full exploritory laporascopy since there was no coil to be found. So the coil is just floating around in there no where to be found and Im pretty sure I have an infection brewing. I have a post op appt today where I will address my concerns. But it hurst to know that I have missed almost 2 weeks of my babies christmas, used all of my sick time and am losing holiday pay over this. I am now looking into suing.
