I had the essure procedure done in the fall of 2009. I should have known something went wrong during the procedure. The doctor even said she had trouble getting one of the coils into position. At the time I wasn’t experiencing much pain. As days passed I began experiencing lower back pain. When I went for the dye test to see if the coils had blocked my tubes I was told the left coil was not in place and had migrated and perforated my left tube. Which explains the lower back pain. I was convinced by my doctor that it would be OK. That my body would form scar tissue around the coil and wall it away. A coil sticking out of my tube?! She basically ignored my complaint of pain. She said it would stop once my body scarred it over. My doctor talked me into getting another coil placed in my left tube telling me it would be safe.wow was I dumb! The 3rd coil did get placed successfully but to this day I still have extremely bad back pain. Doctor seems to think its not from coils but there is no other cause.
