I received the implants in 2009. I have experienced pelvic pain/discomfort since having the procedure completed and right away discussed it with my doctor. She assured me that I could not feel the implants. The pain came and went with different degrees but during my menstral cycle it would be much worse and I experienced back pain with my periods but hardly ever had any cramping or pelvic pain. Last year I again talked to my OB/GYN and she said I may have a hernia and the changes to my period were due to possible early menopause. I went to the doctor today to discuss having the hernia investigated more because the pain has been constant the last couple weeks. After the exam my doctor now tells me that it is not a hernia and I should talk to my family doctor about a CT of my bowel if I’d like it investigated further. I inquired again if the pain I’m feeling could be from the implants and she assured me again that it wasn’t. She asked if I had reading what was being posted on the internet (which I hadn’t but I have now!) At this point I just want them out!! Are there doctors willing to remove them if someone wants them out and there isn’t a ‘proven’ medical issue?
