Hello,
I just saw info. on the Essure procedure on the news. I was honeslty so relieved that I was not alone in the pain I have felt after the procedure. I recieved the Essure procedure 2 years ago after a miscarriage. First off, they informed me that it would be out patient procedure and I would be fine to go to work the following day. I remember lying in the room thinking this will be quick and painless. Boy, was I wrong. I instantly felt pain when it started. I had to look away from the screen because as they were going through my body I saw it all and could see when they poked something along the way. Tears began to run down my face and the Dr. said ‘Oh your fine’. The nurse starred at me and said ‘No, I don’t think she needs to take a little break’.
When it was over I was in so much pain. Cramping like I had NEVER had in my life. I just remember crying to my husband and telling him ‘I shouldn’t have done this, I have a bad feeling about it’. I was in bed for a week after. Then, when my first menstrual cycle came I was bleeding like I had never before in my life. The cramping that accompanied it was horrible. It has been over 2 years and I still have very aweful, almost untolerable menstrual cycles. It will lay me up in bed for days. I just am so glad I am not the only one. It really helps to get the knowledge out there for other women who were considering this.
