Went to hospital was going into labor. The nurse was checking to see how far dilated I was when she felt a second water sack. She said it was normal for the sack the baby was in to break a little and create a second one. When she broke the sack she said “oh sh*t”. The umbilical cord fell in the way. I wouldn’t be able to give vaginal birth because if the baby lands on it he wouldn’t live it would kill him. So, off to emergency c-section. I have already signed a paper saying I wanted my tubes tied after birth of baby. They didn’t do it. They said too much was going on during the c-section.

I went to talk to Dr. Holly Ford, MD, Obstetrics and Gynecology – General. University of Missouri Health Care Columbia, MO. My mind was sat on getting my tubes tide. Holly told me… “I could get the Essure procedure. It won’t hurt, I won’t have any surgery, I wouldn’t have to be put to sleep, and they just go in through the vaginal area and cervix.” I thought well okay. I really didn’t want another surgery cause I have already had an emergency c-section and a few years back my gallbladder removed. It sounded so perfect.

So, I go in to get the Essure procedure done. I took the medicine Holly told me to take before I can in. Dr. Holly Ford gave me a shot for pain and two shots to numb my cervix. When Dr. Holly Ford started putting the thing into my fallopian tube the pain was so bad. I started getting very hot, shaking, and very bad chest pains, my blood pressure went real high. It felt like I was dying. Dr. Holly Ford told me to wait five more minutes and the other tube will be done. I told her no stop the procedure. Dr. Holly Ford said it shouldn’t of hurt that bad, this never happen when she done the procedure before, and that I must have real sensitive fallopian tube. So I have my left tube done. Dr. Holly Ford said I would have to schedule another appointment to get the other one done and next time put me to sleep. It felt like my soul was out and watching everything happening. I cried of course my kids were always in my thoughts. I was thinking about dying and my kids wondering what happen to mom where mom is. My poor son Izzy was by my side when they took me to the ER. He watched them put the IV in my hand. I could see the sadness on his little face. The nurses kept asking him if he wanted to go be with his daddy. He got mad at them was about to hit the nurse. Izzy is my little protector. After x-ray of my chest and a urine test the ER said I had a bladder infection.

So, the doctors at the Pavilion in Columbia called me. Dr. Holly Ford told me they can’t remove the Essure thing cause once it is in there it can’t be removed. I told them let’s just get the other tube tide. So, I will have another surgery. They will call in a month to tell me a date.

After writing an email to my primary doctor. See below… I had to go to another site to email my Essure problems which made them quickly give me a call back. Now they want to talk about what is going on and what to do. So we will see what they say on Oct. 25th, 2013. RE: Essure symptoms

Subject: Essure symptoms
I have been getting these systems every since I got the Essure done to one of my tubes.
1. Experience cold/flu/allergy like symptoms (runny nose and very bad cough)
2. Light headed & dizzy, foggy head that I thought I was going to faint
3. Severe headaches (worse than I have ever had in my life)
4. Congested & nausea
5. nickel/copper taste
6. Pain in my left side abdomen
7. Burning sensation in my lower abdomen
8. Tingling/numbness sensation in my hands and left side of lips
9. Diarrhea every time eat something
10. Weight lost
11. Ripping feeling in stomach
12. Extra tired
13. Irritated from the pain it affects my attitude toward my kids and family
I talked to Dr. Holly Ford who did it like a few weeks ago and asked her to just remove it and tie or burn my tubes. Dr. Holly Ford told me it can’t be removed but I found a video of someone getting it removed. They said they will call me back to schedule a date to tie my other tube but never called. Here is the video link I saw… http://vimeo.com/49535171
I would love for it to be removed and my tubes fixed so I won’t have any more kids and all these symptoms.
