I had the Essure procedure done in October of 2008. My gynecologist was there along with the representative from Essure. As soon as it was inserted I made a noise out of pain and have had pain so bad it is worse than when I had my youngest daughter by c-section who weighed almost 11 pounds at birth and was 21 1/2 inches long, and her head was 13 centimeters. Every day I feel like I am going to have a baby, I have labor pains, abdominal pain, fevers, and diarrhea. Doctors do not know what is causing the problem. My gallbladder ruptured in 2009 I had to have emergency surgery. The doctor who removed my gallbladder told me it had ruptured and was dead. I have been to my gastroenterologist, who said it is all in my head and is IBS causing the problem. He does not have any other logical explanation for what is causing my severe abdominal pain. He has told me to lose weight and all my problems will go away. I have been told it is IBS and to deal with it. I have been told it is all in my head and have been given exercises to do which have only made the pain worse. No doctor will help me, and they tell me if I lose weight my problems will go away. I don’t drink or do drugs and now have fatty liver disease. I have been to the ER numerous times for this because it has hurt so bad it made me pass out, and all of the ER doctors have told me to have surgery that my quality of life would improve but I have begged them to do it or refer me to a doctor to help me have the surgery. They told me they wish they could but they could not perform the surgery or recommend a doctor. I have been told by doctors to take ibuprofen, which does not help at all. Now that I know what is causing the problem I will go back to my gynecologist and see if he will remove it. I have depression now. One ER doctor told me the Essure was causing me to bloat and swell, and asked me why my doctor has not operated on me. I told him no doctor will help me. I asked him if he could do it and he said he could not and could not recommend a doctor who would do the surgery. He also told me that it is not caused by weight gain. He said the copper wire is causing the severe bloating, scar tissue, and abdomen problems. He was shocked that no doctor would help because it is a risk for me not to. I have high blood pressure because of the pain I am in, I have fevers, severe diarrhea, bloating, and now have type 2 diabetes and am on insulin. No one in my family has ever had diabetes. I look like I am almost about to have a baby and am not pregnant. I was 44 in 2008 when the procedure was done. Right after the procedure it was just like I had giving birth. I bled constantly and noticed if I did my housework, laundry, cooking, and taking care of my children and family it made it worse. I still have menstrual cycles which the pain is so severe it makes me nauseous and have diarrhea. I sometimes have bright red blood and sometimes it is black and have clots so bad sometimes they are the size of my fist. I wish I could get a doctor to help me. My gynocologist has suggested to have a hysterectomy. He thinks that would help the pain, but he is not sure what is causing the severe pain, fevers and abdominal bloating. Each doctor keeps saying I should see my gastroenterologist, who won’t help, and my gynecologist. I have also been told by an ER doctor to have my appendix removed because it could be causing problems along with copper wire from the Essure procedure. I don’t understand why doctors want to wait for an organ to rupture or have to have emergency surgery before they will help or suggest to have organs removed when they do not know what is actually causing the problem. All of the doctors say to lose weight and all of the problems will disappear. My stomach looks like a pregnant stomach. It is hard and bloated. I cannot suck my stomach in and if you touch it hard it does not go in like a normal stomach. I have been told it is severe scar tissue. It looks just like a pregnant belly. Ever since I have had the Essure done it has not helped my intimate relationship with my husband. We have only been intimate about 4 times since 2008 when the Essure was done. It hurts my feelings because my husband does not want to be intimate with me. I don’t feel I can get any help at all. I am tired of living like this. Every time I go to the ER I am told my problems are not caused by weight gain, but the Essure procedure and are concerned that no doctor will do surgery or help me. They say I am at risk because no doctor will do surgery on me. I just want a doctor to help me and to know what is causing the problem before they suggest to have my organs removed. I wish a doctor would help me.
