What started off as a mutual agreement between my husband and I we believed essure was the best option after my GYN introduces the procedure to us pre labor of my last child. Little did we know it would change our lives within a 4 year span. September of 2009 I went in for my essure procedure sure that we were done having children I was quite excited. On the table there were 4 individual present 2 of which where essure representatives. In all honesty the procedure went ok.
The issue began with a change in my cycle. It was all over the place and for me that was totally weird because I have been regular since I was 13 years old, I was literally the poster child of periods 3-4 days no cramping on the same day every month. My cycle went haywire and started lasting 5-9 days severe cramping, heavy bleeding, sporadically in the month. I put it off as the change and adjustment to the essure since it was placed 4-6 months. I lost my insurance and opt out of the HSG test.
My mood really changed my husband and I began fighting and arguing and we decided to separate in August 2010. As I began coping with my fail marriage I picked myself up went to school and found a job. I enrolled in insurance and everything started look up. I even decided to have the HSG test done at a metro imaging June 2011. August 2011 my husband and I had sex and around September I didn’t see my period and began having very pregnant symptoms. I decided to call me OBGYN and schedule a pregnancy test and she thought I was crazy. My two later my period was extremely heavy with flesh partial in with I believe I had a miscarriage. In April 2012 my husband and I reunited.
It was after this point with my true essure issues began my periods had become even more horrible and debilitating. Each time I attempted to have sex it would hurt so bad we would have to stop. I had issues with passing my biles. I would have extreme sharp pain streak down my abdomen down through my vagina and rectum. My rectum would hurt so badly that I was unable to sit. I began bloating and gaining weight 10 pounds at a time it was horrible.
I began seeing my OBGYN on a regular basic and we started with birth control to regulate my cycle that did not help we than took an x ray for the placement of the coil and found that my uterus was slightly enlarge causing my abdomen discomfort. In March of 2013 I discovered a lump in my right breast and x ray show it is benign. My doctor decided to recommend me to the surgeon for removal and October 2013 I underwent a total Hysterectomy.
My current life is wonderful sex is great and my mood is stable I feel like myself again pre essure .
