I found out about this procedure from my previous doctor. She told me exactly how the procedure was done, but never told me that there were side effects. I had the procedure done in December of 2012 and as one who is single, living with parents, I found the best way for me to get this done without them ever finding out about it, as I didn’t feel it was their business to know, was by my telling them I was getting an ovarian cyst removed. Anyway, I had the procedure, had the test three months later to confirm the tubes are blocked. About three months later I had a urinary tract infection, kidney stones, and a yeast infection after that. Then I had some issues with my bowels. On one occasion my arthritis pain was so intense and painful that it caused me to have suicidal thoughts. I had the arthritis pain before, but it was never this excuciating and never had suicidal thoughts before.
I noticed that my cramps and periods have gotten lighter and have PMS symptoms such as mood swings, irritability, breast tenderness. I asked my doctor to send me back to the gynecologist to see if I can get those coils removed. I am feeling pretty good now, but wish the doctors told me about the side effects of this procedure before I decided to get it done.
