Hello,
My name is Leyla Mahjoub and I am 37 soon to be 38. I got the Essure procedure done in summer of 2012 and totally regret it. I started having complications shortly after I had the procedure done and just a few months ago my Gynecologist put in a requ3est to have a laparoscopy done to see what is causing the pain. Well we come to find out because I was never a prime candidate for this procedure with no tube on my right side (removed few years back due to an ectopic pregnancy) the coil is attached and hanging off of my uterus rather than being in the tube as it is supposed to. I now have to go through open surgery to have the coil removed but in the mean while keep suffering from the pain and discomfort. The procedure was done at Planned Parenthood and my Gynecologist could not believe a Dr. would do this knowing I don’t have a tube to hold the coil in place. I have tried to seek legal advice, however, no attorney I have found online is willing to take on the case due to some limitation law with some stupid one year limit to file within the medical malpractice law.
I have been researching and looking for anyone’s attention I can get to help my voice be heard and have the Dr. who did this held responsible for the suffering I am going through. I am a single mom and work full time. Not only I don’t have the time to take off work to get the surgery done anytime soon, I don’t have the financial ability to be off for that long and take care of my home.
I have strong faith in God and I know something good will be coming out of all of this. If anyone out there is experiencing the same or similar issues please voice yourself. Also if anyone knows of any attorneys that would be willing to help me, please to refer.
