I had my essure placed in September 2010. Its been 4 1/2 years. The last six months have been painful. It started out as cramps lasting longer then normal to now there are times I wanna curl up and cry. I have had other weird symptoms that’s I tried to blame on my sugar, my thyroid or common migraines. I have read all the signs and symptoms of the essure and I be damned if I have experienced most of them in the past four years. I am going December 2 to talk to the doctor who put the essure in. I am hoping to have them removed. I don’t want a hysterectomy I don’t think its fair that I have to have that done. I wish I would of researched this more. I recently found out that there is nickle in the coils. I am allergic to Nickle. I really hope to have these coils removed soon the pain and bloating is horrible. Oh and I never got a card about my essure after the procedure.

Im am a 31 year old mother of 3 beautiful children. In 2007 when my youngest daughter was born, I decided my family was complete. I asked my ob for a tubaligation and he insisted I get essure because it was “hormone free” and had “No side effects”. Worst mistake of my life. Less than 6 months later I started getting dizziness, migraines, numbness and tingling in my legs and feet. With burning pain when the feeling returned. Went to Hospital 1 year later over extreme abdominal pain. Docs didnt even know what essure was. They did an Ultrasound and said i had some small cysts and sent me home. Since then i have developed joint pain, bad allergies, nonstop lower abdominal pain and no answers as to why. I was healthy before essure. Im 31 and was 23 when i got Essure. These problems dont run in my family and it cant be a coincidence. I wish i could turn back time nad not got this Ehell.
