I am just today learning about all of the women having side effects from the essure procedure. As saddened as I am to hear these trials many other woman have suffered, I am thankful to have amazing people pull together, share stories, and look for solutions. I hope I that others can relate to my story, as I have to theirs.I am a mother of 7, 6 which I have birthed, and a grandmother to a precious baby girl! Almost 4 years ago to the day, I had the Essure procedure. I had all the children I wanted, and my husband and I wanted a permanent birth control. My obgyn suggested Essure vs having my tubes tied. It seemed like the best choice, so I did it. I did do ‘research’ but didn’t see anything out of the ordinary.
Since then, I had sudden insets of the following: PCOS Dysplasia 3 Heart palpitations PVC’s Hot flashes Leg pain and swelling Longer periods Little bleeding between Periods Heightened PMS symptoms Bloating
Now, until today, I didn’t think that any of theses were related.
The only one I questioned was my leg, which started almost right after the implant. I looked it up, but never saw any reason to think it was related. So since then, when any issue would arrive, I never though it could be related.
I am still not positive, but how strange is it to have sudden ‘issues’ after that procedure? After reading about all the side effects others have experienced, it’s quite alarming.
It would take too much time to go into the long details of what was endured through these scary Events. Especially with PVC’s, P.C.O.S, and dysplasia. Cardiologists, puzzled, obgyn, puzzled. It’s been very frustrating. Thank you Ms. Brockovich, for opening this site. You’re a truly amazing lady, and I’m thankful to have you backing up all of these woman.
