I had the essure procedure about 5 years ago and I have had nothing but pain and discomfort. My fallopian tubes are inflamed most all the time. Before the procedure my minstrel cycle had always been light with hardly any cramping. After I had the procedure my minstrel cycle became heavy and very painful. The cramps are so bad the first couple days. I have a lot of pain in my pelvic area also. I also have a lot of bacteria build up and get infections in my fallopian tubes and Urine track quite often. I have been told that I will probably need my fallopian tubes removed. What was supposed to be an excellent solution to permanent birth control has turned out to be a nightmare in my a pinion. I wanted to have my tubes tied after my 4th child. Due to my rare blood type and low immune system It was the best choice. My doctor at the time talked me into having the essure procedure. She said it was quick and easy and I wouldn’t hardly have any pain. She did not of course tell me it had a lot of side effects. She was so positive about this procedure and she was my doctor so I trusted her. I know I should have done research before having it done but she convinced me it would be the best option for me and to have it done right away. So needless to say I have been dealing with pain and discomfort for 5 years due to this procedure. None of the doctors I have been to will even discuss the possibility of it being due to the essure procedure. I am just glade that I am not alone and that I decided to do some research and found this site. I am happy to know that someone does care about what us women are going through do to this procedure. Thank you so very much for letting me tell my story. Sincerely Marcia Whitcomb
