I want you to know just how much that I have suffered since I had an ablasion and Essure implanted in 2008. I wanted to die because the pain was relentless. I am a Nurse and my quality of life was gone. I have a son and because of him I would not give up ! I was hospitalized 2 X for chest pains and kept overnight in the cardiac cath lab. I failed a D-dimer test ( body is making and breaking down bloodclots) and was told that I may have a pulmonary embolism. I thought I was going to get my wish and die . I have about 25 crazy symptoms that were misdiagnosed for six YEARS ! Migraine headaches that lasted for 4-5 days a couple of times per month so I could not hold a job. High blood pressure 200/100 ! Essure STABBED me when I sat up straight so I had to lean back in my chair . I have boarder line Diabetes and my blood shows high antibodies for Lupus- so I cant make a fist in the morning. I had shooting pains in my abdomen and private parts all day and night. This is just a sample of my problems. I never partied, never drank , never smoked anything ! Why was I so sick. I thought –I have a foreign body in my body ! I typed Essure + problems into my computer and found Angies Facebook page. There were 1000 ladies who had the same complaint as I did. WOW ! They told me that I am not crazy and not alone, I sobbed.
I had no insurance and no $. I filed for bankruptcy and barley kept a roof over my son’s head and food in our stomachs. I got Obamacare last year and finally went to a Doctor. The first GYN did a pap, then a sonogram and said that the Essure is in place and she was not comfortable removing them. I BEGGED her for a hysterectomy , not Narcotics . NOPE . I turned to my E sisters who directed me to a wonderful Doctor . He did the same test and said that he believed me and he would help me. I had my total Hysto on 8/22/14 . I was released from the hospital the day before my 50th birthday. I felt better the day after my surgery than I had felt in six years !!!! Im still taking it easy so I dont get an injury. I am 50 lbs heavier than before Essure so I have some work to do. I have not worked for 3 years . I am looking forward to working and ‘living’ again. I have been so sick for so long and Essure was the cause . I am very sorry to inform you that there are now 12000 E Sisters . We did not deserve to be Guinea pigs. Bayer needs to take responsibility for this tourture device and take it off the market. I have enclosed a picture of my ‘everything’ + a Fibroid the size of a grapefruit ! Hello Maureen, I read your story and felt like you were describing me. I had the Essure implant in the summer of 2010. I did not have any pain or symptoms at first. I did however have longer periods then usual. They used to be 3-4 days now they are 8-9 days. About a year later I could not walk to far before I felt like my ankles were going to break. I started having leg and calf pain I started having random chest pain and clavicle pain in April 2014 and immediately after that started suffering from Anxiety and Depression. The pain has since moved all over my body in my arms and legs, neck, back shoulders, knee,wrists and everywhere you think of. I have been told Fibromyalgia is the cause then told by other doctors that they think it is Lupus. I’m only 39 years old. I don’t know if any of this related to Essure but I don’t know how to explain it any other way. No Doctor takes me serious since all lab work, CT scan of abdomen, EKG, chest x-ray, brain MRI and spinal tap all show nothing wrong.
