I had my procedure done last December. Since then I have had constant lower abdominal pain. Not to mention constant bleeding for almost 6 months after, and extremely heavy and painful periods. Prior to having the Essure coils my periods were about 5 days long (max) and little to no cramping. Now they are over a week long and are very painful. Anytime I bend over or do physical activity, I get lower pain and sometimes begin bleeding. My doctor agreed to remove the coils this past September. However, I didn’t have the removal because my insurance doesn’t find it medically necessary!! So unless I can come up with thousands of $$ (the facility charge alone is $22,000) I’m stuck suffering.
