I thought I was choosing the right thing , the easy thing, when I chose Essure. It was only suppose to be 1 day from work recovery. Or so I was told. I began on October 20 by taking 2 cytotech. The cramping was unreal. No sleep that night. The next morning an hour before my procedure I took 1 valuim, and 1 Tylenol with codiene. When I arrived at the Dr office they gave me a shot of tordol. I then lay on the table and the Dr proceeds to give me ‘numbing’ shots in the vaginal/cervix. They didn’t numb anything! He then starts the procedure. It was so painful. I had 2 kids without any kind of pain meds, and this procedure was torture. From the moment he placed the left coil, I was in immediate pain. Went home and layer around the rest of the day. The bleeding started almost immediately. I bled a lot, also passing lasge clots. The cramping was horrible. The lower back pain was awful. After numerous calls to the Dr office, 4 visistes to the er, xray, cat scan, ultra sound, and crying, 20 days after it was put in I had it surgically removed. The back pain has gotten better, the bleeding stopped, but I still am stuck with insomnia, 8 pound weight gain, sharp pains in my pelvis, stabbing pains in my vagina, and now bleeding and diarrhea. My one day recovery time turned into a 9 week recovery time. I lost my two jobs cause I can’t lift over 20 pounds for 6 weeks. I was replaced. My kids want rheir on back. My boyfriend would like the old me back also. Now having all this time off around the holidays leaves me wondering how am I going to give my two kids a Christmas! All cause I thought I was choosing the easy way out!
I have the Essure and have a bit of a personal question to ask you . When you say you have stabbing pains in your vagina, were you having constant or shooting pain actually running through your clitoris. I’ve just started having that kind of pain within the last week but it’s starting to subside now. It was especially excruciating after having sex with my husband. I’ve had Essure for about 6 years now and haven’t had any real bad symptoms from it except for now that I thought but after reading a lot of these women stories I’m beginning to wonder if I’m have problems from this thing. Thank you for your time and totally understand if my question is a bit to personal.
