My name is Patricia Knight. I’m 33 years old, a wife ,and a mother of 7 boys and co owner of our company. After I had my 3 year old in Feb 2011 I had the essure inserted about 9 weeks after he was born. I was doing good I thought for about 2 years. But how ever. I did notice I had to start taking pain pills durning the 2 years because after 6 years of no migrains they started back up. I gained 30 pounds with only forcing myself to eat at least once a day. I wasn’t having my time of the month when I was suppose to. They started about every 3-6 months and very painful with major lower back pain. But I would only bleed for one day but I would hurt for 2 weeks. Now for the past year I had to stop having sex with my husband because of the pain in my cervix. I told the doctor about this but my ob gyn just told me I needed to go to physical thearpy because he said it was my bladder. Um no that didn’t help at all that made it worse. So I went to my md doctor to get tested for anything and every thing that would be making me not want to eat and gain weight, not sleeping, can’t have sex, stopping my period, exhausted, weak, hair falling out, gallbladder messing up, major migrains, and lower back pain. A lot for a mother and wife to deal with. The only thing my doctor could find out was that I had arsenic, alloy, and titanium in my blood. He told me to go back to my ob gyn to have him take out my essure. The essure was poisoning me at a slow rate. But my levels were getting high day by day. So I went to my ob gyn and showed him my results and what my doctor said. He said it wasn’t my essure that someone was poisoning me by my food. Really I said how was that because I am the only one who cooks. He was dead set on not taking the essure out. So I went to a different ob gyn in Winston Salem NC. Now he sat down and listen to what my doctor told me and I showed him my blood work. He was concerned. He tested me and told me he was going to have to give me a hysterectomy and depending on what my ovaries looked like he might have to take them also. So we set surgery up for October 31,2014. Even though I wasn’t able to go trick or treating with my boys and husband. He brought them to me at the hospital so I could see them dressed up. Since surgery I’m getting my strength back and not in that much pain and my appetite is coming back and I’m not depressed. I’m able to get up and take care of our boys and able to stand to cook with out help. I’m very greatful of my new ob gyn for giving me my life back. Dr.Hall at Winston Salem Norvont women’s health
