I had the essure procedure in october of 2010. I know ever since it has been a nightmare for me i decided after the birth of my third daughter we would have no more children my husband and i both agreed on the decision. I first took the depo shot after my first checkup after giving birth with after that i broke out into hives all over my body and was told by the doctors it was not caused by the depo shot, yea i just so happened to break out in hives the very next day??I had to go see a a dermatologist that gave me steroid shots that finally got rid of the rash. I then decided i never wanted to get the depo shot again i told my obgyn i wanted something premamnet so they told me about the essure procedure so i agreed to go through with it. It was done in the doctors office had mild cramping afterwards which they said was common, everything was fine until i got my first period which last 7 to 9 days that are so heavy it is just exhausting i have a period about every 21 days. before I had a normal period lasting 5 days evey 28 days always every since i started my period at the ageof 12.I now have no health insurance and when i contacted the obgyn about this they said well they could do a procedure to burn the lining of my uterous then i wouldnt have a period anymore well when you have no insurance what are you to do???? I seriously think women that are going to get this done really think this through i work and have 3 beautiful girls to look after and when i am on my period im completely drained the blood clots i pass are just not normal this just is not fair all the money the doctors make from this procedure and look at all of us women suffering at the hands of something we were told the most effective form of permanent birth control???? the peole saying this is safe make me sick if you havent had it done how can you honestly say this.
