Hi I had this procedure done in November 2013. My doctor made it seem like the latest, best option. I was told there were no complications. It was done in the office and was a great alternative to surgery. The only info I was givin about any side effects (I asked) was that some women complained of issues such as heavier period and more cramping during your mentstrual cycle which she insisted is due more to no longer being on the pill not Essure. I believed and trusted my doctor and had this procedure done. The procedure itself went ok. I had cramping after like they told me and after which seemed fine. In Feb I noticed a dull pelvic pain…constant. I then started to spot before and after my period. Then in March I had what I thought was a yeast infection so I used Monestat. I just saw my doctor yesterday who ordered a sonogram because of the bleeding. She said I have some fluid in between the walls of my uterus which could indicate an infection but she inisited it was not from the procedure! She said I would have been in a lot of pain not just uncomfort like i am describing. But everyone’s pain is different and there are times I am in a lot of pain. I even feel this weird twinge or sudden cramp in my pelvic area that feels like I am going to get my period but I am not due and then it goes away. I have also had difficulty loosing weight even though I have excersied and eating right. I usually loose my baby weight by now. I also feel like my stomache is constant bloat. I am tired all the time like many others indicate but I attributed it to have children. I am really upset and do not know what to do. I am going to see another doctor and try and get a second opinion. I was never informed that it was made of nickel and that if you have an allergy you should not use it. I was only told that it was coils just like they use in heart stents…totally safe. I do have an allergy to silver so now I am wondering if my body is rejecting it. I am so upset at the other stories …I had no idea this many women are having complications! I regret having this procedure done and would definitely be apart of a class action law suit.
