I am Robin. I have had many complications as a woman. I had many miscarriages, 9 to be exact. I then had major surgery to have my children. After my surgery in 2006 I was blessed with my first daughter. After she was born, I became pregnant again and my 2nd child was born in 2007. She was early and had to spend time in the NICU. After my second child, my doctor advised me that having any more children would be harmful to my body. He then advised me of the Essure procedure. I agreed, he assured me that it was safe and best, fastest, and no recovery time. I agreed and had the surgery done. I then had to have dye test done to make sure the procedure worked. It showed the tubes were closed off and told me I was good to go. I had a pregnancy scare shortly after, but it was a false positive. I then started having serious pain. I had to go through a series of Lupron shots to see if that could control the endometriosis and the pain. After 4 months of shots and nothing easing the pain. I bled for months on end after the Lupron shots. I then was told the endometriosis was not going away, and that I would have to have a hysterectomy, but he left my fallopian tubes and the Essure. I have knots and still have pain. I am not sure if it has to do with the Essure or not, but if you can just go ahead and get the hysterectomy done, it saves you time and money.
