I had the essure procedure done in january 2005, I had signed documents to have a regular tubal ligation done, but after I gave birth to my 4th child my doctor told me that I had a lot of scarring and that she didnot feel comfortable performing a tubal ligation on me, but instead she was very excited about a new procedure called Essure and that I would be the 3rd person that she would be performing this procedure on. I was a little upset finding out that she had not performed my tubal ligation, but I trusted my doctor or so I thought. She also explained that a represntative of Essure would attend the implantation. Well after my procedure I received a call from my dotors office about a few weeks after the surgery telling me that i would not be able to have the test done afterward to check for placement because my insurance was not going to cover it because my doctor did not get this procedure pre- authorized. Well a few months down the road I returned to my doctors office thinking I had a UTI only to find out that I was pregnant with my 5th child. I was very upset. I did not know what to expect and I was already 4months when I found out I was pregnant. My son was born May 2006, He sulfers from Epilepsy and he had some sort of allergy to something (he suffered with a severe runny mose that did not want to go away and unlike any of my other children he talks very nasally), my son takes medication for his seizures, which none of my other 4 kids suffer with. The doctor that delivered my son performed my tubal ligation after his delivery, with no complications. I honestly felt tricked by my previous doctor, I felt like she only wanted me for her Essure procedure. Anyways I too have suffered with bloating, unexplained cramps in my sides since the procedure. I als have experienced joint pain and headaches.
