My name is Sandra I live in Florida I am 36 years old. I got the Essure device implanted 2/8/2013. I knew I didn’t want any more children my doctor convinced me about the Essure, she said it take 3 months for your body to get used to it and it’s done in her office no downtime etc. I needed this since I had a 1 year old at the time. It’s been two years, and I’m constantly in pain. Pelvic pain, sciatica, legs, numbness in legs and feet, MIGRAINES irregular heavy bleeding, hair loss, hormonal changes proven by blood tests, pain during and after sex, bleeding between periods, weight gain etc. I’m tired and it’s ruined my life the doctor that inserted the Essure device won’t return my phone calls and I have requested my records because I’m currently searching for a doctor that can remove them, without sending me into menopause. These Essure devices need to be removed from the market. They are not safe. There are more than 15,000 women with the same issues. It’s to much to be a coincidence. They are toxic, and I want them out. I have been living in he’ll not to mention all the time off of work because of my pains. I used to be and feel normal, I want to feel normal again and continue my life with my children. There is a group on Facebook Essure problems with all these women that are experiencing the same problems. If you are considering Essure RUN as fast as you can don’t get them. Go on Facebook you’ll see for yourself.
Too bad Sandra we’re victims of this procedure. I’m having surgery next week and my nerves are starting to set in. I hope it goes well. I’m going to be recovering & taking care of my two kids alone. I am a single mom. A friend will come to help me for only a day but I do not know what to do after.
I had partial hysterectomy to get these coils removed. The Essure coils destroyed my life. I had pain for months and the bleeding was bad when I had my menstrual cycle . I would never recommend this procedure to anybody. No woman should get this! I wish that the time will come where is women that have suffered from this procedure could sue the manufacturer. It destroyed my life and the sad thing is, I had to have my fallopian tubes removed just to get the coils removed. The bad thing is I was never tested to see if I was allergic to it and come to find out I was allergic to the Essure device. I was sick for many many months.
Thanks Sandra for taking time to share your Essure nightmare story. I have had the coils since 2011. I have been suffering from chronic pelvic pain, heavy bleeding, abdominal pain, rashes, dizziness, tingling in hands and legs, nausea, blurry vision, and dry eye. I can’t stand this any more.
