I had the Essure Procedure done in September of 2007 at the age of 39. In March of 2008 I started to develop joint pain which led to muscle aches and severe exhaustion. I was diagnosed with ‘Fibromyalgia’ around October of 2008. I’ve spoken with my OB-GYN several times about possibly being allergic to nickel and how all my health problems started only 6 months after the procedure. She basically poo-poos the idea of the Essure Procedure being the cause of my health issues and maintains that I cannot have them removed without having a hysterectomy. I just want them out and have one question, ‘Why do insurance companies cover the Essure Procedure itself but not the cost of removal?’
