My name is Tammy and I am 39 years old. I had my essure implanted in 4/2010. I really wasn’t having any issues the first year but then I started feeling a weird tearing feeling when I’d roll over from my back to my side. The doctor didn’t see me but did a telephone consult and ruled it out to be scar tissue. My periods were always off from the start but as time went on the cycles would get worse. I spot for a few days then bleed heavy for a few days then clear up and then back to spotting and bleeding for two weeks!
The beginning of 2012 I started to develop a red rash on my cheek. I was planning my wedding and chalked it up to be stress. Every week it’d get redder and drier. By the end of march I was at my doctors asking what it is. They believe it’s rosacea and gave me meds and face cream for it. The meds make me literally sick and it never cleared my face. The rash is now covering my whole right cheek and it’s tender, dry, itchy and hurts to touch. March of this year I have developed a rash in the palms of my hands. They itch and I have dry spots all over.
For the last year I have been so tired that I can barely make it past noon without thinking of a nap. I have never been so tired in my life. It’s exhausting just being this exhausted. I have also developed a sore lower back that hurts to touch. I can’t sit for long or I will have tingling in my legs. I’m sore from my lower back down to my thighs. I walk light on my feet and slow. I have sharp pains in my lower abdomen and my right side has a constant pain. There’s times my pain is so severe I’m curled up in a ball and can’t move. Bowel movements, when they’re ready, they’re teady. I’ll have terrible pains and pressure and then it’s go time.
I have horrible headaches all of the time. I get dizzy and I have horrible mood swings. I perspire more and have hot flashes.
My weight has always been between 150-160. I can’t seem to lose weight and I bloat so bad it feels like I’m pregnant most of the time.
I am in the beginning stages of talking to my doctors and they already believe it’s not essure.
I wish I never had this procedure done. It has literally ruined my body.
