I am 37 years old with four children, I married a man with four children. Since all of these children were going to be living under one roof we both decided it best to have the essure procedure done before we were married. I work full time as an RN my husband works full time so neither one of us had the time for taking time off of work so this was the best procedure for us. I had the procedure done in February 2013, the coils had to be placed two separate days related to complications and a tear in my uterus. Since the procedure I had chronic right upper quad pain and I was told it was my gall bladder and the pain would go away. The pain never went away. In June of this year I started to become ill and gaining weight and thought maybe I am just going through early Menopause. While I as you work one dat even after thinking it was not possible I took a pregnancy test to find it was positive. I called the doctor who did the procedure and requested a next day appointment. I am currently 24 weeks pregnant and everything is ok so far, just still having chronic upper quad pain and fear the coil may be in another location and not where it should be. I’m to old to have another child and my fear is not making it home to my other children after labor with this one.
