I had the Essure procedure in January 2010 the procedure itself went smooth with no complications and very little down time. I noticed a month later that my cycle had changed I was bleeding a lot more and the cramps were unbearable. My cycle usually lasts for 5 days but since I had the Essure placed I would start cramping at least 5 days before my cycle even started. I can say even to this date that if feels as if I am in labor every month I have to take pain pills around the clock for the entire duration of my cycle and if I miss a dose I can’t function I can’t walk I can’t work all I can do is lay down rock back and forth and cry. I have been to the doctor numerous times with my complaints I had tests performed to check the placement and for fibroids everything came back good. The only thing the doctors can tell me is to start taking birth control pills to try and control the symptoms. I can say with out a doubt that getting this procedure is the worst decision I have ever made.
