Hello ladies, my name is Shawn. I had the Essure procedure on February 22, 2010. After the first six months of having the coils placed I started having very bad mood swings, so bad my son would not stay with me. He would stay with my mother and would tell her how mean I was or he would tell her that I was getting mean again.
After the first year of having the procedure I started experiencing a metal taste in my mouth, cramps that I had never experienced in my life, irregular cycles, lower back pain, tingling of my extremities and weight gain. I have gone to the Doctor’s and explained how and what I feel and they keep trying to push Antidepressants onto me. For the pain the Doctor wants to send me to a pain clinic for drugs. I keep trying to explain to him I don’t want drugs, I want to be better. I want to be the woman that I used to be, going to the gym 7 days a week, someone who enjoyed being around my family and friends.
