After 2 pregancies my husband and I decided we were not going to have any more children. I wanted to get a tubiligation but was assured that this was less invasive and did note require any incision, recovery would be a lot faster and considering I had a 3 month old at home I thought this was the best bet.
Well, after the procedure I continued to bleed heavily to the point where I went in and the Dr. Put me on medication to stop the bleeding. They could not give me a definite answer on why I was bleeding so heavily. It was painful and uncomforatable. Then over 18 months after the procedure I was asked to go back in once again for another Hysterosalpingogram as they did not have a clear view of the coils after the last Hysterosalpingogram. For anyone who has had a Hysterosalpingogram they can tell you this is not a comfortable process at all.
After this procedure I have called my Dr. and advised him that my periods are very painful I can feel the ovulation and they have become heavier. Their response is that this is normal especially because I am no longer on a oral form of birth control. SO I continue on and month after month figured this is how it is and how its going to be until menapause.
Thank you for this website I know now that this is an issue with other woman and it is not normal.
