I had the e sure coils inserted July 2009.I was not told of nickel allergy nor did my brochure Oct of 2010 I could not stand the pain not only in my whole body but the severe cramping.I was told at exam by a nurse practioner I had prolapse bladder. I was completely dismissed even after ultra sound by the Obgyn who had inserted the ESure coils.
I went to emergency room and found a new Obgyn. No one listened to me even with all my written records of days and months of cramping that it was due to the E sure coils.I had to have an upper and lower GI in my 40th birthday to rule out that.I then had to have a laparoscopic procedure to rule out endometriosis.I went through urodynamics to make sure bladder was prolapsed.
Finally in 2011 I had a hysterectomy to be rid of the pain.I was 40.There is really so much more I hated the way I was treated like I was crazy! After the hysterectomy the Dr was called many times by the E sure people and seemed nervous.
The thing is when I needed bladder sling the dr who preformed that at time of hysterectomy assured me the material was different than the mesh law suits.Oct 2,2013 I had mesh removed it was so tight m urethra sprung free when mesh was cut. I still hurt a bit but can now empty bladder.I am glad I went to this new Uroligist from OSU for second opinion. The dr who did mesh sling told me I had over active bladder and prescribed vesicare. He told me it was from age.He spoke at me as if he were scolding a child he said I can remove the mesh.I asked what that would do he said give me incontence.
I called a patient advocate number I found on web.The woman I spoke to was veryhelpful and let me know alot of women are treated bad when it comes to the mesh yet she had no idea what E sure was.I wish I didn’t either. Its cruel and evil I’m discusted to have been a guinea pig!
I read that the Obgyns that preform the procedure for E-coil get to keep the equipment and kick backs.
