I had essure implanted in May of 2013. At first everything seemed ok, I had went for my hsg and was confirmed blocked. Of the course of about month both my face and my forearms broke out In a bright red rash that itched like crAzy!! Then I started to notice all my joints were hurting and all my baby weight that had fallen off soon returned. Puzzled with this I just wrote it off as still getting over the birth of my daughter in January and that my body may have just been changing. I began to become very fatigued and have night sweats, hot flashes, bloated stomach, cramping and shooting pains in my ovary area, mood swings, severe constant headaches, back pain, frequent urination, insomnia, bleeding after sex, pain during intercourse, strange hair growth, and hair loss, teeth sensitivity. The list goes on and on. I’m 30 yrs old and feel as if I’m 100 and my body is slowly deteriorating in front of my eyes. It made me feel like less of a mother because I was in to much pain that I couldn’t even get on the floor to play with my daughter and could barely even pick her up to carry her because of the joint pain. All these symptoms slowly came on within a course of 6 months. But when they came, they stayed. It wasn’t until my boyfriend decided he had had enough of me being like this that he had taken it upon himself to do some research on essure and see if he could find anything that realted to my issues. (when I had it implanted I did my research and there was NOTHING) he then directed me to the essure problems page on Facebook and sent me links to everything and anything he could find on it. If it wasn’t for him finding this and the awesome ladies on the page I NEVER would have known what was going on inside my body that I didn’t know! I returned to my implanting doctor and she basically told me that I was crazy and that it wasn’t essure causing my problems, my body was still adjusting to the changes of having a baby, my daughter was 10months now at this time. I had the returned again talking about my issues and she tells me I have PID. She gave me meds and they didn’t work! I then took it upon myself to find a doctor that would listen to me And I DID! As of February 28,2014 I am free of essure. The doctor did a laparoscopy, hysteroscopy to remove essure and do a tubal ligation. I swear on everything I felt better the very next day after surgery! 90% of my symptoms had disappeared! I cannot thank these ladies, my boyfriend and my doctor for helping and listening to me! If it wasn’t for them I would still he suffering to this day!
