I’m writing to you today to tell you about my story and how it a started.
My name is Sheilagh Weinert. I have SLE Lupus and suffering with pain and Lupus issues x2.Because I trusted my Doctor and she knew of my illness. Due to my suffering is because of a permanent birth control that was placed inside my tubes it called Essure. In January of 2012 I wanted to get my tubes tied. I had just gave birth to my third child in Sept. 2011. Found out I had 2 blood clots in my lungs so I knew my body could not take another pregnancy. Made appointment with my OBGYN to set up getting my tubes tied. She said that you should have Essure done it is better for you and your body. I believe and trusted her so we schedule my outpatient at the hospital. Three months after my surgery I had HSG done which they insert dye into your tubes to make sure no dye passes by. Dr said it was all good. After the test I had bled I asked the tech she said it will pass. Well needless to say it did not I had my period for a week usually have it for 4-5 days before I had Essure. After that test I had an appointment with Lupus Dr in John Hopkins. My appointment there was about my Lupus. There I found out I had Fiberomyalgia. As months went on I had mini Lupus flares. Never had any pelvic pain I have it daily and gets wore at times. Cramping all the time. When having my period I have the worse cramps have not had those since I was in high school. Never had any cyst. I have had 4 that I know of. I suffer from muscle spasums all over my body. With my Lupus I’m tired most of the time but since Essure I seem to be a lot more tired. My hair falls out, I have gained weight and can not seem lose any of it. My memory is at its worse. When I get my period it no longer last for 4-5 days it last from 8 -14 days. That is not normal. I believe the Essure has not benifit me in anyway but made my life living hell. On April 9th of this year I will be getting the Essure removed. I hope and pray that all my issues I have since I gotten E-HELL (Essure) goes away in time. Thank you for taking the time to read my story
