About 4 years ago I went to my gyne because I was suffering from painful cramps and very heavy periods, to the point I was passing out from blood loss and having to wear baby diapers to feel secure when out and about. The Doctor who treated me suggested the Essure and how wonderful it was and how it would put an end to basically all of my suffering. Not the case at all, since I have had the surgery, things are progressively getting worse and I’m right back to where I started. For about a year after my surgery, my symptoms were decreased but as time went on, things were slowing going back to where they were. My periods were getting heavier and unbearable cramps. Also, I began having a lot of unexplained issues, such as constant lower back pain, leg pains (mainly on my right side) headaches, rashes and so on. After numerous trips to the ER due to pains in my right side, I was treated for acute pancreatitis (my levels were not even high enough), had my gallbladder removed (because of a little sludge), constant issues with bowel movements and sometimes sent home with no answers why I had pain. I felt like it was process of elimination and after negative results for all of my organs on the right side and the pain still there, I was getting nowhere. I went to my PCP for pain in my right side and he took and x-ray. He seemed puzzled when he looked at it. He asked me to come over and take a look and he pointed to two pieces ‘hair’ lol on the x-ray in my cervical area and asked if I had an implant. I said yes, the Essure. Well……he was astonished and demanded that I get into the Gyno because my right coil was not even close to being where it was supposed to be. I was referred to a new Gynecologist and at my first visit her and I went over why I was there. I told her about my procedure with the Essure and an ablation and she stopped me suddenly and said “did you have both procedures done at the same time?’ I said ‘yes’ she began to explain to my why they could not be done together, I could not believe what I was hearing. She also asked me about a dye test months after the Essure was inserted, I never even heard of that! At this point, she is now sending me for the dye test because I could not be blocked completely and may be at risk for pregnancy, which is not good because i do not have uterus. I am at the beginning of the process to hopefully end this whole nightmare but truly feel that all along, the Essure has caused a lot of medical problems for me.
So now, here I am, in constant pain and no one wants to help me. I feel like my period is starting every minute of the day, my back hurts so badly sometimes; it’s hard for me to get out of bed. I just want this over with. I’m so tired of being in pain and hope that this new doctors can help me.
I had the procedure done in 2010. I started to feel pain in my ankle, knee, elbow and daltoid a year ago. All onmy right side. Now i have pain in my mandinular joint but on the left.
I was refered to a rheumatoid doctor who prescribed the steroid pack six months ago. Shortly after taking these steroids, i started to have a yeast infection that ihave trwatwd both with over the counter and prescription medicines but have been unable cure.
Does anyone else have these problems. Please help me.
