I am 37 years old and i just had the essure procedure done last June 2013. After talking to my doctor about options this is what he recommended sounds really good since i don’t have to be out from work and it’s a really easy procedure. I had to get on the Depo-shot first then a month later came back to do the procedure. The procedure was in the office and while the doctor was performing the procedure he did have a rep for the essure there assisting him and making sure he did the procedure correctly. I was told i was going to hurt a bit but while the doctor was inseting the springs it was very painful almost like contractions .The completion test was needed 3 months after the procedure. During this time i did not get a period which was nice but then again the shot had something to do with that I was told. My left side was healed but the right side was not. I had to get on the depo-shot a 2nd time and repeat the completion test again in 3 months. Finally it was healed and i was ready to go with no shot or pill, then the side effects starting coming in January I was breaking out all over my face and my back. I have never had any issues of pimples not even as a teenager. I went to my doctor and was told it was due to the depo-shot give it sometime and it should clear. Just barely in April I started clearing up and also getting my periods back. Just these last 2 months i have been getting 2 full periods in 1 month which was really weird for me since i have always been regular. I was told it was due to inbalance hormones. but now i’m bleeding all the time and my back hurts all the time like i lift all day which I don’t. I started researching and going online about the essure and now i’m sick to my stomach because i feel like i’m going to be bleeding consistanly. I have a doctor’s appt in July regarding the bleeding and i’m curious what they are going to tell me. I will keep you posted but i am very scared. I have always been on the pill for my form of birth control but was really tired of having to take this everyday.
