Hi, I’m the mother of three beautiful children and my husband and I decided that we no longer wanted to have children but knew with essure that there was a chance that we could go back and have them removed if we chose to, That being said I had my last child and had a difficult delivery, so we chose to have this procedure done, we went in the office He stayed the whole time because he wanted to watch how it was done (he is very overprotective lol), The doc inserted a camera and a hose that flushes water in your uterus he saw what my uterus looked like and she even commented how healthy it was the lining was very smooth. About a month later I was having a lot of bloating and cramping so we went back and had a pelvic ultrasound done apon wich we discovered that now my healthy uterus was covered in fibroud tumars and i mean covered, we scheduled a hystorectomy and she removed my uterus, there goes the thought that maybe we could have the essure removed later if we chose to . she came out of the surgery room and told my husband that it was worse than she thought and it looked horrible. and i can not believe that a healthy smooth beautiful uterus can turn into a tumar ridden mess all by itself that fast. so now im a 37 year old women who had a hystorectomy at the age of 35 or 36 cant remember wich age i was. it saddens me that so many women have had this problem and had to deal with health issues that could have been avoided.
