I decided that the Essure was the option for me, I am going to be 39 have 2 children, my oldest 17 with cerebral palsy and decided essure was the best option because there was no restrictions since I am my son’s primary care provider 24/7 with lifting and everything. The Dr. assured me it was a in office procedure he had done many times. So I had the essure done January 29, 2014 and wish I would never have had it done. Since the placement I have cramps daily, some like sharp needle jabbing pains, I bleed weekly sometimes it’s a full blown period and other times it’s spotting, I just feel like crap most of the time because of this. Then I went for my 3 month dye May 2, and guess what neither one of my tubes are closed, the right essure is ‘seen in the pelvis inferior to the cervix, appears to be outside the uterine cavity suggesting expulsion of the right essure’, and the left essure ‘there is suggestion of expulsion from the left fallopian tube’. So then Dr. tells me after running the dye test ‘I just don’t know what to say, I’ve never had this happen before’ then says he recommends a laproscopic tubal and that he’ll have a nurse call me in a few days to talk then he pretty much just leaves. I finally get a call about a week later from nurse to see what I want to do, well having a tubal would put me down and not be able to lift my son for at least 3 weeks and I tell her the dr needs to see what can be done about the coils. I end up seeing the Dr. yesterday May 13th and he tells me the coils have to stay they can’t be removed, I told him I knew they could be removed he said he wasn’t just gonna start cutting on me to find them. I told him no he wasn’t, he said the only way he could remove them is by hystorectomy(sp?) which I then told him no they can be removed other ways and he said he wouldn’t do it. I was also told by the Dr that there was no way my problems were caused by essure, that is was all being caused by the depo shot, I think this is all BS I have been on the depo for 14 years since the birth of my 2nd child and before that and have NEVER had a problem with it. Frankly the Dr was jerk and seemed like all he was concerned about was either placing another essure in me or doing a tubal. I told him that if I’d have known I would feel this way I would never have had it done and he said ‘I told you there was a chance it wouldn’t work’, yeah but you never said anything about them being able to move, he said ‘same thing’. I am a healthy person, never go to the Dr. only for my yearly pap and after essure procedure in January I feel like crap daily………I want these things removed.
