I had my miracle baby at the age of 42. I was told I could never have children due to Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome and then I had my son. After his birth I opted to have the Essure Implant done because there was little side effects and no down time. It was done in my Doctors office and the procedure went fine. I even watch my procedure on the screen as it was being done. I had the follow up dye test done and I was told that my tubes were blocked everything looked good. Things seemed o.k but now I suffer from headaches, bloating in my stomach, lower back pain, leg cramps and numbness and continues bleeding. When I do get a period on top of the daily bleeding the period is so heavy and I have a lot of clotting. I recently went to the Doctor because of the continual and non stop bleeding. I was put on a round of Provera that did not work and then sent for a pelvic ultra sound. I then started having severe right sided pain and was told that there were some small cysts there and maybe they ruptured. The wand during the ultrasound could have aggravated them. He did say that the cysts that were there should not have caused the other issues. He then said that my options were a procedure to scrap the insides of my uterus or I was at the age I could have a hysterectomy. I heard that and was shocked. I asked if it could be the Essure implants and was told NO. He then gave me Torodol and pain pills to help. I have a 3 year old and a full time job, I’m a 45 year old recently divorced mom being on pain pills is not an option. I live with this pain everyday and just push through it. Hysterectomy just scares me. I didn’t have these issues until I had this Essure implants done. I am in pain and discomfort everyday. I just want them out and this to stop.
