Essure Procedure

I am a 42 year old healthcare worker. I had the Essure procedure in 2009.  My symptoms started the following year.  I had a cardiac and neuro workup for my symptoms: chest pain, shortness of breath, severe vertigo,  memory loss, unable to concentrare, etc.   I was unaware of the cause of the symptoms and the internal medicine doctor could not find a cause. He said I was ‘very healthy’.  In 2012 the skin rash and wheaping sores began.  The dermatologist diagnosed my new nickle allergy but could not help me to eleviate my symptoms.  So the torture continued.  After I spent endless hours  researching my various symptoms I discovered that I not only had a nickle allergy, but I

  hi my name is Joanna I had essure about 3 1/2 ago the worst thing I could have done I had it done 3/2010 I had heavy bleeding having to change every 30 to 45 min and had the most horrible cramps like if I was in labor I waited the 3 month period 7/2010 for the recheck to make sure that the tube were closed the Dr said only one had closed let wait one more month 8/2010 I went in for the sec re test they everything  look wonderful that I will cramp and bleed that normal will on my way home I started to cramp like if I was in labor  couldn’t drive when I finally got home I had chills

I got my procedure done in july of this year. The procedure went fine, I was satisfied. The first month in, my period was a week late…so I freaked out. Especially since I hadn’t had unprotected sex. I also noticed the bad cramps that start 2 weeks before my period even comes on, and heavy bleeding. Every month it just gets worse and worse. These days I can’t even stand when my period is on because I’m in so much pain. I wait tables for a living so this is a major inconvenience for me. Some times I’m afraid I’m gonna over dose on Tylenol because the normal amount really isn’t enough to say the least. If your tthinking about

After having my 5th child Idecided I was done. My doctor suggested Esure since I don’t have a lot of time to be recovering. I had the procedure in Oct. 2012. Following the procedure I bled for 4–5 months. My doctor said that was normal. Over the years I have irregular periods, I have problems bleeding and my cramps have become sharp pains. I also have a heart shaped uterus which worries me because I recently found out on my own, thatyou should not get the implant with an irregular shaped uterus. Well now I am stuck with Esure and I can only hope and pray it gets better.

I had the Essure coils placed in June of 2013.  I had the HSG test in November 2013 and it showed one coil was on the fallopian tube as it should be however the second one is embedded in a muscle and not on the tube.    I am now scheduled to have my tubes removed in December and to remove the coils.  I actually consider myself lucky though as I have not had any adverse physical effects.   I wish I would have had my tubes tied instead of Essure.  The most frustrating part is the financial expense of the surgery.

PLEASE PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU EVER THINK ABOUT ESSURE: May 23, 2012 I had the last child I knew I could have. I talked to my doctors about all the types of birthcontrol and thy kept leaning towards essure. They assure me it was the newest and easier than the way I wanted to have my tubes tied. Told me that I wouldnt be in pain and could resume activites in 2 days. So by June 18, 2012 they were rushing me letting me know that my state insurance wouldnt cover it after the 23rd of june. So I said ok, went to doctor that morning, they said they gave me some pain meds and took me in the room..THAT

I got the essure procedure back in May 2013. I decided on this because I had 2 children and I was didnt want anymore. I really needed to get off birth control due to not having a steady period in over 12 years. I am in constant pain with my stomach. It is hard to eat anything without feeling sick. I still currently do not have a steady period. I haven’t had one for 3 months. I am very moody and irritable.
