Khristi’s Story

I am a 30 year old healthy female. I had the Essure done in 2010. I have been going to the same Doctor for 15 years and trusted his opinion on the procedure. I don’t blame him, as I feel the manufacturer is misleading them as well. I do blame myself for not researching the Essure beforehand. For the last year I have suffered every day with chronic abdominal and back pain, sudden sharp pains at the site of the coils, bloating, muscle spasms in my lower back, dizziness, nausea and exhaustion. My cycle used to last four days max and was light. Now it’s at least seven days and is heavy, with a massive amount of blood clots. This

Teri’s Story

I am a 29 year old mother of three. I got the Essure implants in 2009. Until a few days ago when a friend mentioned it to me I didnt even think to connect the medical problems I have been having to the Essure implants. I like, the other women who have shared their story’s suffered from prolonged and spontanious periods with horrible cramping and clotting. I dealt with the horrible pelvic and back pain for years. In June of 2012 due to heavy bleeding, numerous cysts in my ovaries and a large mass in my uterus I had to have a complete Hysterectomy. I’m embarrassed to say that I didnt think to realise and now after reading the other

Linda’s Story

In 2010 I decided to have the Essure procedure, after I had complications during pregnancy with my second child. Since then I have had severe, stabbing pain in my lower right abdomen everyday and it is especially bad during my period. I also have felt very tired and worn out constantly, despite exercise and diet changes. I have gone to the doctor because I have had such severe pain that I could barely breathe, the pain lasted two weeks yet the doctor couldn’t find anything. Please let’s bring these people to justice so we can stop them and get our lives back!

Crystal’s Story

I had my Essure done in August of 2012. It seemed like the best option at the time. Since then I bled for the first several months straight, and now for the last 3 I have not at all. So far all of my pregnancy tests have come back negative, but I have all the symptoms. I have headaches almost daily, that are not touched by over the counter pain relief, I am dizzy on several occasions, severe fatigue, I even started having what could be ‘phantom baby movements’ now. I am going to test again, but I doubt it will reveal anything either. I got these b/c I was on state insurance after having my son in June, and

Claire’s Story

I had my daughter in 1998. After having her my cycles kept getting worse. I went 10 years with extremely heavy bleeding and pain that would double me over. In August 2009 I went to an obgyn after my family doctor had just joked about my pain calling it a ‘super uterus’. The obgyn that I went to performed an ultra sound and found that I had cysts on my right ovary. She scheduled me a surgery to remove my cysts but I ended up loosing my right ovary. during this procedure she perforated my uterus and claimed to have repaired it. I still am not sure if there are any permanent damages from that incident. while she was performing

Stacy’s Story

I am a mother of three beautiful children. I decided to have the Essure procedure in February 2009 at the age of 36. In March 2012, I began having painful periods. The cramps during these periods were as severe as labor pains. I could not get a doctor to take me serious until March 2013. After an ultrasound and a CT scan, it was discovered that the Essure coil on the left side migrated out of the tube and is now stuck in the tip of my uterus, very close to perforating my bowel. I have been bleeding for 42 days now feeling like I am in labor. I feel disgusted with myself having to take 20mg of percocets every

Jessie’s Story

I recently had the Essure procedure done in February 2013. Since last month I have had stabbing sharp pain in my right side near the pelvic area. I have had extreme back pain since last week and went to the E.R. and my primary care doctor. They had no idea what the Essure was. I had urine tests and a pelvic exam with nothing wrong. They sent me on my way with pain medication. I can’t even walk straight or pick up my young children.

Christine’s Story

I got my Essure put in February 28  2013 . Three months after my third child was born. I lost all baby weight in that time and had stopped bleeding. I was on birth control Depo until procedure was done. I had the procedure done and the same day I started bleeding again. I am still bleeding up to this day. I have gained weight back from pregnancy and look like I am six-month pregnant. The symptoms were not severe until the last 3 or 4 weeks. I wake up every morning with a severe headache that last most of the day. My legs continuously hurt all of the time now which it was not like this before. I have

Erin’s Story

I got the Essure procedure in June 2006. Right after I got the procedure I ended up in the hospital with labor type pains, my doctor gave me a dose of antibiotics and I felt better and went home. Over the years I’ve had extreme migraines, sharp pain on my left side, no energy, weakness throughout my body, and I can feel exactly where the Essures are. I’ve been back to my doctor numerous times and she has sent me to other specialists. I’ve had everything else in that area checked and my doctor says its not the Essure but I know it is. After tons of appointments and horrible pain in my left side I recently went to a

Chale’s Story

I had the Essure done in 2011. I went back for the test and all was 100% blocked. I was put under during the implanting and had no pain except mild cramping afterwards. My periods changed a bit, going from a normal 28 day cycle to about 33-35 day cycle. This has been pretty consistent since Essure. I have had no problems with Essure, but began searching last month because all of a sudden I had horrible ovulation pain and my period was the most painful cycle I ever experienced. I was expecting for it to be the same this month, however I haven’t experienced any cramps and my period is due in about a week. The pain of last
